Success for Terra Schwartz

Each Capture the Flag (CTF), hundreds of OSINT analysts worldwide donate their own time to support investigations into missing people in a challenging and competitive format. Over a period of seven hours, analysts employ various investigative skills to obtain information online that can and often supports law enforcement agencies in the location of missing people across the globe. As the first TraceLabs CTF in 2021, this event consisted of 580 contestants forming 290 teams, each with the same clear objective, to locate five missing people.

Following continued success in delivery of their own OSINT course for Federal Government clients, the team from Terra Schwartz were keen to test their skills internationally against the best of the best. After a lot of hard work on some truly complex cases, the team were pleased to place 5th overall out of 290 teams. This follows the team’s 4th placing out of 162 teams in the Australian National Missing Persons Hackathon in October 2020. The team is always seeking opportunities to test themselves and is looking forward to the next CTF!
